Garrick is 2 today! Can you believe it. I have been thinking about him all day because I came to work, what a lame mommy I am. We'll be posting some great video and pics from his birthday adventures. All he cared is that when we woke him up this morning he got a birthday train. That is all he's been talking about. He is a joy and we love him so much, I don't know what I'd do without him. He knows how to make a mommy feel loved and I know Carl would say the same thing.
WE LOVE YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ICKY!!

Our Amazing Trip
The trip was amazing. I'm not saying we didn't miss Icky man but we had a really great time. I saw more in a couple of days than I thought I ever could. I really wasn't impressed with London except the Tower was really cool. I loved, I mean, LOVED Paris. There was so much to see and do, It was gorgeous. Paris was like the fairy tale it is painted to be, minus the urine smell in the Metro and the pile of crap I stepped in while we were making our way to a Metro station. The group of students that we took were good and they all love Carl, I am still their teacher but I do have a cool husband. I would go to Paris again tomorrow, but take Garrick and stay for a month. The gardens at Versailles were wonderful and Notre Dame was so unbelieveable I thought I would pass out. We saw a show in London, Wicked, if you haven't seen it go it was really good. Jet lag was hard the first couple of days which could have contributed to the fact that I didn't like London, but other than that even my homebody of a husband said he would go again. . . so maybe we'll get to go to Rome and Greece next year, we'll see. Well, I am still adjusting and am glad to be home at last. TRAVEL it is the best!!

Big Week!!
So Carl and I are getting really nervous. We are taking our first big vacation without the Ick man this week and the closer it gets the more I am already missing Garrick. I actually rocked him before his nap for about 20 minutes. He really is tugging the heart strings too because lately out of no where he'll say "Mama, I love you." He usually just says "Mama," then waits for me to say what. He also has been cute to talk to baby sister and she even kicked him today, its been a great weekend. We are leaving on Wednesday and going for a week we're going to London and Paris on an educational tour, so we are going with kids just not our own. Wish us luck and we'll post some great pics when we get back if you can pull me away from Garrick.

"I'm not baby!"
So on my way to work this morning I was talking to Garrick. I always do just to see if hes awake and to get some quality conversation in before we go off to work. This is how the conversation went;
Me: "How's my baby?"
Garrick: "I'm not baby!"
He definately is getting a mind of his own. I guess I have taught him too much and I think that sadly he is growing up and is my little boy not my baby. Very cute but a little heartbreaking.

Big Week
We had such a big week for cute things from the Ick man. He won't eat ice cream unless it is on a cone so here he is enjoying the heck out of a little ice cream cone. It took me forever to get all the ice cream off of him
He has always loved swinging but it really tickles his stomach, so he was busting up. We even had to shovel snow out of the way at Grandma's so he could swing
And last but not least our boy is really growing up. He slept in a toddler bed, at Grandma's, without any hitches Friday night for bed and then Saturday for a nap. I guess it is good since we are going to be needing the crib in a few months anyway.
