Check out my Slide Show!

We spent last weekend in good old Sanpete County with Curt and Jodi. We went bowling and skeet shooting, I hit a moving target it was one of the most amazing days of my life, and we went tubing behind the fourwheeler, which was a blast. We also ate fat sticks with cheese, which I have greatly missed since moving way up north, if you have never eaten at the pizza joint in Ephraim you are missing out, or maybe I'm just pregnant and any food is good. We had such a great time. Curt kept making fun of me because I called to check on Garrick after we had only been away for about 4 hours. Any parent can understand where I am coming from. It was a much needed vacation but any time away from your kid is hard, I am getting more and more worried about our Europe trip (a whole week are you kidding me?). Next time we are going to get Curt on a horse.

This is for Jodi

I got this information from Mandy who got it from Laura who got it from who knows where. This is the way you can change your background paper and colors.

Basement project

We have been working on some construction in the basement we are super excited about. We took out part of a wall and a cabinet and put in a fireplace and then re-painted the whole thing. We've been just sitting on it for a while but on Saturday Tyler and Ralph (Carl's brother and Dad) came and helped us tile and do the rock work on the fire place. It isn't completely finished but we are getting closer. It looks really good we are really happy with the way it has turned out so far.

Snow Angel

Garrick and I really tried to take advantage of the fact that I wasn't working during the break so the other day we went to play in the snow. I shoveled walks and he dug in the snow, then we went for a walk in the snow. He wanted me to hold his hand then he didn't then he'd fall down and get upset that he couldn't get up by himself it was really fun. It was cold and we were about ready to come in when I decided to see what would happen if I helped him do a snow angel. I picked him and tossed him down and moved his arms and legs, he thought that was so funny and it turned out so cute. It was a great day.

Safety First

One of Garricks favorite things from Christmas were the safety goggles that came with his drill. There is a slight problem with them, when you buy something that is made for kids they assume that the 'kids' head is kid size, this isn't the case with Garrick and though he loves the goggles he can only wear them for short periods of time. He does look hilarous in them and I laugh every time he puts them on.

Christmas

Now I am definately the slacker but here finally is our Christmas morning. I am the camera woman and so there never are any of me which is usually a good thing because of how aweful I look in the morning, especially with morning sickness. Garrick was happy as a clam and unlike most he stopped after opening each gift to play with it. It was hilarious because Carl kept handing him gifts forcing him to stop playing with his new favorite toy and play with another one. He got mostly tools which came in handy because whenever Carl is working on something Garrick is usually right there in the mix. Christmas was realy fun this year because he did actually care what he got. Carl was so excited to open gifts that he wouldn't let me fix breakfast first so while Carl and Garrick opened gifts I went and schmered me a bagel and the Ick man and I worked on that while we opened gifts. Christmas was great.
